My inbox is showing me a couple of mails (from my Sent folder) with a "Follow up" box, as for some reason Mail thinks I haven't received a reply to them. I have.

Anyone know a way to turn this new feature off? I don't want sent mails in my inbox, especially if there's nothing to follow up. (If there is a way to disable this feature, I'll enable it again each beta to see if it improves.)

Same here ... did you find any resolution? There should be a way to clear the follow-up, but I can't find that. My emails marked for follow-up keep coming back into my inbox :(

I tried dragging it back into the folder it came from, which seemed to work for a while (which is odd, as it never actually left that folder) but it came back.

I'm hoping beta 2 will fix it.

I had a similar issue when testing reminders; I couldn't clear it or set "no reminder" until I looked at the same mail on my phone (iOS 16) which did have that option, so I cleared it there. Unfortunately there's no "follow-up" feature on iOS 16 yet as far as I can tell.

This option is driving me up a wall! It makes Mail unusable for me. I have scoured the Internet searching for any solutions without success. If anyone finds a way to turn this feature off you will have my eternal thanks.

Anyone find a solution? On the third beta and still can't seem to figure out a way to dismiss without deleting...

There is now a preference in Mail Settings under General: Enable Message Follow Up Suggestions...
Thanks - yep, appeared in the latest beta but I forgot to update this thread.

In fact, despite leaving the feature toggled on, it hasn't flagged any emails a requiring follow-up since. I was wanting to see if I could tur it off per email rather than a heavy-handed all-on or all-off.

I turned that off.

Now my sent messages that the feature thinks need follow-up are still popping up in my inbox, except that now they're not labeled "FOLLOW UP".
