Does anyone know whether there is a way to hook up and use the iPhone to send out emails from the iPad when there is no internet connection available for the iPad? I think of linking the iPad to an iPhone with a cable or bluetooth.

I tether my iPad to my iPhone when I'm not at home are near wifi. Works great!

You can tether to your iPhone, but you will need to make sure your carrier and data plan supports tethering.
