That damn Mail.app hangs after my MBA waking from sleep in 10.10.3.

Now, the problem is still not fixed in 10.10.4.

Mail.app is half useless now.

God damn Apple!

hi

here are a couple of things to do to try to figure out whats going on with your Mail app.

1 after you can get Mail open, you might want to un-click the box Enable this account. Doing this will take that account completely off line when you press Get new messages. Do this for all your accounts (don't worry, you can easily just check the boxes again to get the accounts back on line). then click them one by one again closing Mail and reopening Mail again to see if it hangs after a particular account is enabled.

2 some maintenance:
make sure you are connected to the net. in the lower left side of the main Mail window there is a rotary button, click Get Account Info. clean out the accounts as much as you can of heavy files.
click Connection Doctor and see if Connection Doctor is also hanging on any particular account.

3 problem could also be the OS X is trying to finish a re-indexing. after setting your sleep setting so that it doesn't allow sleep, re-index your drive, including Mail. let it complete the re-index.
