Can anyone please help?
Was playing Rainbox web last night on my imac and it wouldn't quit out and i ended up pressing the big button to shut down.
When I restarted and opened mail to check my email - the window came up asking my for account information like it does from band new?? whats going on??
I gave some account info and it opened up but obviously all my account info has gone along with all my messages??? aarrgghhhh
I have tried various things to try to get it back and am now lost!!! I went to time machine as per the help file and 'restored' - which put all my messages in new boxes at the bottom in numerous 'time machine - recovered mail' folders. How can I restore all my account info please???
I did a quick search on the net and found apple and other saying to find and restore the com.apple.mail.plist file but I do not have one in the library/preferences folder ????? either now or a few days ago (looked in time machine)
I tried dumping the mail icon in applications into the trash and then restoring it but that made no difference!
Please anyone?
