I work in a totally windows world where everyone else use exchange servers and other stuff to request meetings. The local IT support refuse to touch my Mac, (perhaps that's a good thing)

But.

I get meeting requests in Mail, sometimes (very rarely) they have an .ics attachment, if I double click it, iCal launches and handles it sensibly.

More often however, I don't get an attachment on my mail, I get text like this:

When: 01 October 2007 15:30-16:00 (GMT+03:00) London.
Where: Babbler's office

There seems to be no logic to whose mails look like what.

What can do to integrate Mail and iCal properly ?

Thanks

solution - sort of

I get meeting requests in Mail, sometimes (very rarely) they have an .ics attachment, if I double click it, iCal launches and handles it sensibly.

More often however, I don't get an attachment on my mail, I get text ls

I found that choosing view->message->next alternative cycles through formats and gives me an attached .ics file

BUT

Time zones are screwed up.

My timezone is correctly set at GMT+3.
I have told iCal to use time zones.

An incoming notification like this:

"When: 01 October 2007 15:30-16:00 (GMT+03:00) Nairobi. "

Gets put into iCal 3 hours late!

Any ideas ?
