Mail icon changed randomly to blank [with pic]

Today I turned on my iPad 2 and noticed the mail icon was blank. I've made no changes at all, jailbrake or otherwise in weeks (it is jailbroken). Anyone know what causes this and a fix (other than a restore)?

I've done a hard reset and it didn't solve the issue.

Btw: I know how to manually change an app icon, butnim curious to know why this occurred and resolutions to prevent it.

Did you install winterboard? I've had that installed and uninstalling it fixed the issue for me on the iphone before..

I did another respring and that changed it back. Whatevs.

It's a common jailbreak bug. Happens a lot on my iPhone. Respringing usually takes care of it.
