I'm wondering why my Mail icon in the dock is showing "3" new messages when my Inbox is empty. Anyone else run in to this issue?

Do you have unread messages in other folders?

Nope. And it adds to "3" when new mail arrives. So when I get a new email, it shows "4". It just started doing this after I re-installed the OS.

You might try deleting the /Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist file, then relaunching Mail.
