Mail icon missing

does anyone have the same problem as me?

i restored my iphone 3gS from a backup of a jailbroken iphone 2g(fyi)
and now i'm missing my mail icon.
couldnt even search it with the spotlight search
couldn't really remember but does settings has an options to configure mails settings?
if there is, its not in my iphone as well!!!

this includes the stocks icon as well !
i'm missing both mail and stocks application
anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Completely restore the phone and see what happens since factory settings should most likely have them both.

before i backup the phone, those apps were there.
but i need this backup,
any idea how to get it back without restoring? so i can have both my back up and all the proper apps.
