Is there any way to get the "mail" icon above the dotted line in the dock so it is available every time I start up ala iTunes/Finder/Safari/Preview?. As it is I have to launch it from the applications folder every time I restart the computer.
This would be on my new MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard
thanks

Open Mail through the Applications Folder. Then right-click on the icon in the dock and under "Options" choose "Keep in Dock".

Can't you just drag the app to the dock from the applications folder?

Thanks

The problem wasn't getting it there, it was keeping it there when I restarted and "keep in dock" does the tick
:)
