Since beta 1 and up to the GM I have been noticing that if you get email and just delete it without opening any of it, it'll remain in the notification center. I submitted this to Apple but wanted to hear from you as to whether or not you have this problem.

It happens on my iPad and iPhone using Exchange for Gmail.

I just tried duplicating this.

The mail removed itself from NC, as it should.

Thanks for adding the video. I don't understand why I have this problem, but like the other poster it occurs on both my iPad and iPhone. Unless this is related to Gmail on Exchange but I doubt it.

You hit the nail on the head. I tried it with Google Exchange and the mail stayed in NC.

I guess that at least gives us an answer to that. Do you use iCloud for mail or another service?

Both. I was testing sending from Gmail to iCloud, and things worked as I showed.

However, when I tried sending from iCloud to Gmail, that's when I encountered the bug.

I submitted this to Apple's bug report so hopefully something can be done. At least it doesn't actually break anything.

Likely has something to do with the weird way Gmail handles deleting email and the workaround in Exchange to make it work like people expect.

This is one of the many reasons I switched away from Gmail to iCloud recently. All the little non-compatible things really got on my nerves. Started to feel like Adobe apps on a Mac lol.

Hooray for figuring it out! My Hotmail account is setup with Exchange and its the only account out of 4 that keeps them in notification center after deleting them.
