Mail Inbox not Showing Messages

Hi All,

My colleague has just brought a MBP. We have Google Apps Pro for the domain.

I have been running Apple Mail for months now with Apps for the domain. I use IMAP with settings imap.gmail.com and smtp.gmail.com

My colleague has used the same settings but although the inbox is showing the unread number it's not showing the messages. They do show when you search.

He does have inbox subfolders which have been pulled across from Outlook on this old PC.
