I've come across a nasty bug in Mail involving signatures and inline images.
If I compose an email that contains both a signature and an inline image within the body of the message, the image attachments are completely messed up in the sent message, especially for Exchange/Outlook users. When the sent message is viewed in Mail, the images are stripped from the body and appear as attachments, and in the body are replaced with broken icons or white space. In the recipient's Outlook, the images don't appear in the body or as attachments. They don't exist at all. Remove the signature, and the inline image behavior returns to normal and renders as expected, both in Mail and the recipient's Outlook. At least one other person has documented the same problem in the Apple User Forums.
This is with Ventura 13.3.1 and Mail 16.0 (3731.500.231).
I reported the bug to Apple. Until it's fixed, Mail is effectively unusable for me as an email client. Anyone else in the same boat?
