My mail application on my MacBook Pro is acting really slow lately. I have it linked to my gmail and I regularly use my android phone, mac, and the gmail website on a PC to send and receive messages.
Lately it has been bogging down, freezing (just a couple of times) and having messages appear in a Recovery folder on the left side task pane. When I click through the various categories on the left, I get a little timer icon that I have never seen before, and some messages that I sent via the web-based gmail don't show up (I thought they used to?).
Any suggestions? I was thinking of removing the account from mail, and then re-setting it up again. Is the fact that I use the Mail app, my phone, and the web-based gmail too much for the Mail app to handle?
Thanks!
