Lately I find that my Apple Mail is resetting itself.

I have gone to great lengths to create filters and
specialized mailboxes for all my incoming mail.

Now I find that Mail erases all those mailboxes
and resets itself to its initial basics.

Thankfully I have a backup up of my MAIL folder
and com.apple.mail.plist.

However, continually having to copy those items
daily whenever my Mail resets itself is becoming
a chore.

Is anyone else having a problem like this?

The only explanation that I may have is ClamXav
detected a virus in a mail download. I was able
to quarantine it, but who knows it it is wreaking
havoc on my mail settings.

There has never been a virus in the wild that runs on Mac OS X. If ClamXav detected a virus, it's a Windows virus and can't run on your Mac or infect it in any way.

...and earlier my Dock kept resetting itself, too.

However, I went into UTILITIES and ran permissions
fix and that corrected the problem.

Just wish I knew what keeps resetting this Mail.

Doesn't seem like a lot of people are having the
same problem.

Why do your posts have such short lines? It makes them consume more space on a page than letting them wrap normally.
