I do graphic design for tshirts. I often have clients send me little tiny jpgs of their logos which I then send out to be converted to vector.
The last two times this has happened, my converter told me the photo was completely distorted. Now, I know it wasn't perfect on my end but he sent me a screen shot and he was right, I'm surprised he could even guess what it was. I chalked that first one up to the fact that they grabbed the image from FB.
Yesterday it happened again. I got a 3 color jpg about 3" wide and forwarded it off to him. I could see it fine, yes it wasn't sharp but that was because it was a jpg.
Same thing on his end though, distorted.
So I experimented.
I saved the image to my hard drive - distorted on his end
I forwarded it from my iPad - distorted
I forwarded it directly from the server (using SquirrelMail) - he got that one fine
Any ideas? This has never happened before and I've been working with this guy for about 5 years now. I just switched my business email from Eudora to Mail and that's when it happened. I don't think it's on his end.
I'm running Mail 4.5 on Snow Leopard 10.6.8
From what I can see with headers, he's using a gmail addy in Outlook Express
Thanks,
Diane
