Hi all,

since I installed Mojave I have a few problems with mail, apparently the rules do not work on certain mails?
Every day I receive 4 mails from the same sender, these are marked as not junk and a rule that they refer to a folder specifically.
But they remain junk and the rule turns out not to work then?
I did not have that problem with Sierra ...
I have the same problem with a few other mails, I think that 95% works correctly with a few exceptions, which ultimately start to annoy me ...
I think the problem starts with the junk problem?

My settings are:
-Enable junk filtering
-Mark as junk but leave in my inbox
-Sender is in my contacts
-Sender is in my previous recipients
-Message is using my full name
-Trust mail headers

Someone a solution?

Thanks in advance and kind regards,

hi
its always a fight to keep out spam mail.
if the 4 mail you receive are identical, it should be not so difficult to do get them labeled as junk.
when they arrive in yr email box, its easy to hit the button "Move selected mail to Junk".
(if the icon is not in yr menu bar, you can configure it to put it there.
Mail will remember you marked it as junk and should learn to put it wherever you are indicating yr junk mail to go.
but ur setting is set to leave junk mail where it is - you might want to change that to put junk into the junk mailbox.
you can also use Rules in addition to Junk settings, and set up rules to put mail meeting condition(s) to be automatically put to any folder, including the Junk folder.

Thx niji for your support!
I think you misunderstood my question or I explained it badly....
I got these mails every day and every day I mark them as no junk... and next day thy are again junk etc.
Normally they must go to a special box for these mails but that doesn't work anymore since I upgraded to Mojave...
Kind regards,

hi
not a problem.
so, you want these junk mail to be directed to a special (non pre-supplied Junk) mail box, that you create/name yourself?
so, you have already this separate mailbox and it worked as the receiving mailbox for Junk before, but not now after upgrading to Mojave?
you have rule(s) set up to put them in that folder?
pls let me know.
thanks.

Under Sierra everything worked normally, the junk was separated to the junk box and the good mails to the boxes provided there through the rules.
That is still happening now, but for some mails including the 4 important mails it does not work anymore ....

These mails are now always junk, whatever I may try!
And because these are always seen as junk now, the rules do not work correctly for these mails.

So in short, there are emails that are always seen as junk and every day I mark them as no junk and the next day they sit back in junk box ....
The real junk seems to work correctly ...
This all works very annoying ...

Additional info, I did a complete clean install of Mojave and I did not import anything from backups, all info addresses, names etc. for mail were in the iCloud.
I don't use Smart Mailboxes, only the rule boxes.
Maybe it is better to use Smart Mailboxes for some mails? I never tried to do that...
Thanks & Regards,

The rule for those emails is box/folder "Work related" > any> From > contains > name.name@name.be
All the other work related emails are working correct in that box/folder... except those 4 emails because they always become junk.
No name of work related contacts is in my contacts, I use the rule from previously received. (I hate to add work related to my private contacts)
Regards.
