For the past month or so, I've kept on getting a pop up while using Mail that asks me for my password because my SMTP server rejected my password. I type in my password, and it just pops up again. This is a huge problem because I cannot send any emails due to this. This is what it looks like:

I had never tried that, but I just did now, and it still doesn't work.
 
could have the wrong password typed in, inside the account preferences.

Click on preferences, the outgoing mail server, and advanced, to see the server name and password boxes.
