From time to time I have problems sending an email. It sits in the outbox and the little widget thing spins, the bar showing progress gradually drops the speed to zero, but the mail sits there, with the widget constantly spinning.
If I delete the mail it still sits trying to send the now non-existing email and I have to quit Mail.
I get this problem when replying or sending a fresh email, but randomly. It isn't down to the mail server as I have a tesco account, a gmail account and a gmx account and I cannot change the server to cure it. I think this rules out a tesco problem.
I know my settings are correct because it is random, I can go for days with no issues and then it happens again.
Is there anything that Mail doesn't like sending? I have tried with and without a subject line, no punctuation in the subject line, no attachments, anything I can think of, but to no avail.
I've tried Entourage but cannot see pictures in emails, despite setting it to allow them, and the sender being in my address book, and being as I need to be able to view embedded pictures this is a bit of a restriction.

Can anybody help with either of these problems please?
