I have never had this issue before, my phone is on 13.3 and I don't want to upgrade it as I don't want to lose my jailbreak. When I get mail a badge appears on the app icon, when I go into mail I see no new message until I refresh the inbox at which time the message appears. I have never had this issue with the iOS mail app in the past and am wondering why this is happening and how to solve? I am using icloud mail account, it is set to push

I should also note when I go into the mail app it says 1 unread message at the bottom of the screen but even so no unread message is actually in the list until I refresh it and it downloads

This has been a problem for many people since iOS 13.0 developer beta 1. Apple can’t seem to fix it; maybe it’ll be fixed in 13.4. As a workaround, try toggling the unread filter button to get the mail to appear.

the issue is with “Push” mail mine has been like this since Developer Beta 1 of iOS13

The issue remains in 13.4 Beta 1
Despite the issue remaining, have you noticed it to be any faster at fetching under the push settings? Sometimes I get the badge and the “n unread” status, but it takes up to ten seconds for the mail to be fetched.

Mail: One of the (many - also in MacOS) apps Apple seems to have either forgotten, gotten bored with or haven't a clue how to fix. Too busy perhaps with emojis, camera gimmicks, and Apple TV+ to devote a lot of time to fixing core OS apps. Sorry.

No faster, exactly the same, I get a push notification with a number of unread and then have to wait for them to load once in Mail, yes it can take 10 seconds or longer

Time will tell but the delay between getting a notification and having it in the Inbox seems to be better in 13.4 beta for me. It's still not perfect but definitely has improved for me. I have iCloud, outlook.com and a work office 365 account.

I'm on iOS 13.3.1 and I have had this issue since iOS 13.1.3, seems like Apple will never fix this.

I have my mail sent to manual as I don’t use the mail app. But at least once a week I’ll have notifications from mail. I open the mail app to clear the badge and I have to wait for it to download.

Now I turned off notifications for mail altogether.

Wouldn't it be better to just delete the Mail app from your phone completely🤔
