Mail on macbook pro

Hi, I have a macbook pro and am using the mail app. Whilst gmail shows all messages, other mail accounts are only showing recent messages. My macbook air, with the same accounts shows all messages .. how do I get the pro to update? Thanks
 
You better try the OSX forum or the MacBook Pro (laptop) forum. Here is the Mac Pro (desktop) forum, we mainly discuss the hardware stuff at here.
