Mail On ML

Hey,

I upgraded to ML and I can't seem to get notification working with it.

When you receive mail, does it show in Notification?

Its a bit silly, but Mail has to be actually running to get notifications.

It's working.
Now I tried to close Mail, and only then I receive notifications. Why doesn't it work when Mail is on?
In addition, can't notifcation actually pop up in the desktop I'm using? It only make sound and I have to manually go into Notification Center.

It has some weird behavior right now i guess. I usually just close the window when im done with Mail, but leave it running. So far doing it that i still get notifications. I thought it was going to check in the background regardless of the apps state... but it is what it is.
