I don't know that this is Sequoia specific. I think I saw this on earlier OSes. Mail. I have so much spam and just too much email. I've received warnings that I'm exceeding my amount so everyday I spend a little time deleting. I will select an email and search the sender, select all and delete. The problem is it only deletes for a limited time frame of maybe a month because I can scroll down 6 months or a year and I still find this emailer. This is so very frustrating. I want them gone from the beginning of time, but I don't seem to t be able to do that. I'm using comcast.

You want a specific sender GONE?
As in, no more emails from that address?

What I'd try:
DON'T use Mail.app for this.
Instead, sign into comcast email using your web interface (Safari, etc.)
Now you're "directly connected" to comcast (Apple Mail not involved).

See if you can select something sent from this address, and while selected, is there a "spam" button you can click? Does clicking it trash the offending sender?

If possible, you want to "mark these senders as spam" at the server level (comcast).
Don't wait for them to come "through" the comcast server and try to do it with Mail.app.

No, I don't want the sender gone. I just want to be able to delete all emails SENT from senders. And sometimes it's too difficult to unsubscribe, and in many cases I don't want to. I just want to get rid of all the email. It seems like there is a specified time setting for deleting files. Like within the month or something. Or maybe within the window. Or if I could set it to between March of 2010 and now, delete messages. I'm not interested in blocking people in this case.
