When I click the Mail icon on the Dock, the icon bounces as usual, but all there is, is a blue desk top page with a Mail bar on the very top. Also I can't quit Mail, only with Force Quit. Any ideas?

Ok this is realy getting strange. Mail will launch with the Ethernet cable unpluged, but will not launch with Ethernet cable pluged in. Also, I'm able to quit Mail with Ethernet cable unpluged, but not while pluged in. This is getting down right spooky.
