I have 3 POP accounts. One is for Sympatico. One is for a web site and one is for my Gmail account. I changed from Sympatico to Rogers almost a month ago however Sympatico needs 30 days notice. I set it up so any mail addressed to my old account would be forwarded to my Gmail account. Now when I open mail I receive 2 emails for everyone received- one from my Sympatico server and one from my Gmail server. I will be ending my Sympatico service in about a week however when I go into accounts and begin to 'delete' the Sympatico account I get a message that reads:
''The accounts setup information, mailboxes, and all messages will be deleted permanently from your computer. Copies of messages on the mail server, if they exist, will not be affected."
What does this mean? Will all me emails and mailboxes with existing messages be lost?
Can this be explained? Thanks,
Gary
