Hold phone in portrait mode.

In mail, open a message with a PDF attachment.

Touch the attachment to view it.

Put phone in landscape mode.

Touch "message" at the top left to go back.

Put phone in portrait mode.

Screen does the spinny transition thing nonsensically.

Or am I crazy?

In playing with this I've also managed to get it to confuse portrait and landscape, leaving a giant black box at the bottom of the screen, but I can't seem to reproduce it yet.

I am also using the latest firmware.

I just tried it again and could replicate it.

I sent myself the at&t iPhone terms of service PDF.

Open the PDF in portrait mode, turn the phone to go landscape, and hit "< message". Once back on the mail view screen, turn the phone to portrait and it will animate the screen rotation even though the phone is already in portrait mode.

I think the transition from the landscape PDF viewer back to the portrait message viewer confuses the phone.
