In Mail>Preferences>Composing I have the box labeled "Automatically Bcc: myself" checked. It used to do that but stopped a few weeks ago. I thought it might have been due to changes in my Gmail account but I went back into that via browser and did not see anything that I thought would be wrong. In Mail>Preferences>Accounts>Mailbox Behaviors>Sent the box for "Store sent messages on the server" is checked. I tried un-checking it and sent a test message to my secondary account on Yahoo but no luck. This is frustrating.

I am not sure about timing of this problem vs the update but I recently did a minor upgrade in Lion. Currently Lion 10.7.5 and Mail 5.3 (1283)

Any help appreciated.

I always get my bcc copies whether I send from gmail or a third party mail server. I hardly ever use iCloud email so I don't know if it works from there. I find that bcc works reliably on my iPhone, iPad, ML MBP, ML Mac mini, and various Lion boxes I have lying around. I don't have store sent messages on the server checked because bcc has worked so well for me.

Always bcc myself not working

I am also having this issuue on my iPad 2 which seemed to coincide with a recent operating system update. I've gone through all the usual remedial steps including checking and unchecking the bcc myself box to no avail. My wife and I share the same e mail so I use the bcc myself function so that we can see if an e mail has been responded to and avoid duplication. I am new to the forum but I don't believe there has been a solution posted?
