Apple recently gave me a new Macbook Pro after they were unable to repair my old one. Old system was running the OS that came out immediately prior to Snow Leopard. I'm in school and I need my notes so a data xfer was crucial. However, I'm now experiencing a myriad of weird things that I believe are attributable to either Snow Leopard or the data xfer.
I was able to take care of most of this myself simply by searching this site and others for help but I can't find anything to help me with this last problem. Whenever I open Mail a window pops up asking if I'd like the computer to remember my password. I click yes and try to continue but that window just keeps popping up. Not only that, but once Mail is opened I'm unable to restart the computer or shut the computer down because of Mail. It's like Mail is freezing up or something and I can only shut my computer down by holding down the power button.
I've tried uninstalling Mail and reinstalling it to no avail. I did a Keychain first aid and repair but that doesn't help either. Right now I'm just avoiding using Mail altogether. Any help is much appreciated.
Edit: Just wanted to add that I've updated the software to 10.6.5. Thanks again.
