Hi from Chiangmai
I have given away my old iBook (10.4) and my girlfriend would like a mail program.

Is it true i can't just copy from my Macbook as MAIL runs on 10.5?
What would be a good (free) alternative?

Oh....and she has a Hotmail acct. Is it do-able with that?

cheers John

Third question:
What's the keyboard shortcut to change the keybaord from English to Thai on my MacBook she has been switching on the iBook with the CAP LOCK key but not sure how she did it and nor is she?

10.4 should have come with a Mail.app as well. You may be able to re-install it from the OS DVD.

Thunderbird from Mozilla isn't a half-bad app for mail use if you need something other than the factory Mail.app.

Mail came with OS X back until at least 10.3 (panther). It should be on your iBook already if it's not been deleted. I doubt the Mail from your Macbook would work, since I think it's Mail 3.0, which I'm not sure is compatible with 10.4 as Tiger had Mail 2.0. I think.
