Hi

In mail I find that it always remembers used email addresses. This is useful, but has an annoying side effect that when people change their old addresses ( no longer in use ) for a new address, Mail keeps on remembering them. Even when I update my address book to reflect the change.

What I'd like to be able to do is instruct Mail to forget these old email addresses.

Is there a way to do this?

i've done it before, but honestly couldn't tell you how officially, and i think it was a choice that was given when typing in the addresses. so someone hopefully will come in and give us a better answer.

what I ended up doing since i couldn't repeat it on a dime, was adding them to the address book and then deleting them.

Mail > Window > Previous Recipients > [select email address] > Remove From List
