Mail Question

So, my friend was on my computer and decided to update gmails' imap mail and now I don't know where the emails have gone.

He created a new account (same sn, and pass) but imap settings. Then he dragged all those emails from my old account to the new one.

The emails never transfered over to the new account in mail, nor are they in the trash.

Anyone have any clue how I can retrieve these?

Depending on how many emails you have I imagine this would have taken a while since it'll effectively be uploading them all to GMail. How long did you give it before throwing in the towel or quitting Mail? :)
