Mail Question

I have the most recent version of Mac mail. I have several IMAP and POP3 accounts that I manage. I also have a folder On My Mac that I imported my FireFox messages to when I first went to Mac a few months ago.

I would like to move all the messages from two of my IMAP accounts to my HD (On My Mac folder). I don’t want to copy them, just move them. This should empty out my IMAP account folders (fastmail.fm).

Can I just pick them up and move them to my On My Mac folder? Do I need to set up a POP3 account and download them that way?

Any help would be great,
