Mail Quiting Unexpectedly

Whenever I open mail, and recieve a message, mail quits, and I if I reopen, the same problem will occur over and over agian

Currently running 10.4.3 Powerbook G4,

I just did an erase and install, and mail was working perfeclty before.

Any suggestions?

You just did a complete reinstall of OS X?

Have you repaired permissions after that, or at all?

Also, is Mail behaving from another user account on the Mac (make one if you have to)?

Yep...did both those already

I did several repair permissions, even with OnyX, and just created another account, and had the same problem

Is there any way, I can put in the installation CD, and only reinstall mail.

Do you have any Mail plugins (aka bundles) installed...?

And just to be 100% clear: You made another user account, and not just another mail account, right?

To install just Mail, get a program called Pacifist. That can be used to get just the Mail installer off the Tiger DVD.

I downloaded pacifist and that did the job (I hope), for everything has worked so far, without any unexpected quiting.
