Mail receipts

Just a little question!

Does Mail automatically send read receipts when requested?

When I download some mail - for a moment I see a number (of messages) flag on drafts folder which then disappears but nothing shows in the folder or in sent!?!

Just seems odd?

I've never experienced what you are describing, and I've been using Mail exclusively for over 2 years now. I've also emailed myself a lot of stuff from other email accounts, and I've never had any receipts come back. I couldn't find any settings in preferences either. What kind of mail are you using? IMAP, POP, etc. Are you using .Mac?

Yes, I have dot Mac/IMAP.

I couldn't see any setting for receipts - just my hunch!

Seems really odd - a number of drafts flagged 9usually 1or 2) - the swirlly gear thing going around and then they disappear?

Do the number of flagged drafts correspond to the number of new emails?
