Mail recovery

I have thousands of recovered (Data Recovery II) .emlx files to search through for a single sender, and cannot figure out how to get them into Apple mail so I can use the database sort features to narrow my search. I have tried the import feature of Mail, but no joy. Any and all suggestions are encouraged.

I googled "emlx" and this was the second result. Was that so hard to do? It's generally considered rude to post a question that can be answered by a simple google search.

Thank you for your assistance. I searched the subject title here before posting, but was unaware that MacRumors:Forums was the "site of last resort." Faced with the daunting task of over 60,000 messages to convert I didn't fully consider every option available, and in the past I have always found helpful Mac-specific information here without a tongue lashing. Mea culpa...
