Mail Rules do not automatically apply in Leopard

I recently upgraded to Leopard and I am using Gmail, imap. It seems to be working fine, except it will not automatically do my rules. I want to create rules and sync them across my laptop and desktop. So far I have to manually apply rules, or drag email messages into specific folders.

Is anyone else experiencing this?


Does anyone have a solution?
