Mail says I have 50 emails but there arent any

I just signed up and about an hour later i got 2 emails. then out of no where it says i have 50 but when i look in all the folders theres nothing. can anyone help?

It's possible it's just a fluke. Try marking all emails as read. This should clear your '50 emails' counter.
