When I search in Mail.app in "All Mailboxes" I don't get any messages that are in the Trash folder after 2001. If I click on the Trash folder and make it search only the Trash, then I get them, but it's kind of a pain to do all those extra steps when the Trash is obviously being indexed, but the index is not included. This occured in 10.2, 10.3, and 10.4 for me.

Spotlight in 10.4 seems to omit the same messages. The only way to find them is do a search within Mail.app with the Trash folder selected and set it to search only the Trash folder. This is the same whether I search the sender, subject , or message body.

I've tried rebuilding all the sub mailboxes of Trash to fix this problem, and running SpotlightIndexer on ~/Library/Mail (as http://discussions.info.apple.com/webx?128@379.tRwfapaPTFR.4@.68aff20b) but both didn't help. Any other ideas?

Thanks
