I dumped gmail a few years back in favor of an "@me.com" address. I wanted push at the time, and the gmail option was unreliable.

Also, I had an iPhone along with my MacBook, and found keeping my emails up to date was easier with apples own mail apps.

Now that I use my iPhone for 80% of my emails, and my new iPad for 15% of the emails, I'm finding the iOS mail app to be very weak!

It doesn't let me search across mailboxes... So if I accidentally deleted something, I'd have to check the trash again...

And I have this new issue which is driving me nuts: if I search for an item that's too old, it gives the option to search the server. Sometimes I'll get a hit, but sometimes when I select the item, it'll just disappear! So I'll see what I want, click on it, read it for a second, then it'll just fall off... So you search again and get the same issue!

It only seems to happen on my iPhone. The iPad does okay with search. Is this a known issue??? I'm thinking of just replacing my app with the gmail one!
