I teach high school and have two Xserves in my classroom. By default I am also the net tech. Over the past two years it has been trial by fire learning how to maintain/deploy a lab and two servers.
Anyhow, one of the Xserve I setup as a Web server and I run our WordpressMU setup from it and student portfolios. Managing Wordpress without a mail server is a real pain. I have to go into the DB to get the activation codes for new accounts. So, I want to setup the mail service. It will only be used so that WordpressMU can send out activation e-mails and maybe to receive all the admin e-mails for Wordpress.
Is there a tutorial for setup? I went through it and seemed straightforward, but it didn't work.
We have a bit of a weird setup. The school's Web site is http://edisonchargers.com/ and they setup my server domain to be http://chargertech.edisonchargers.com/. Internally the server domain is chargertech.edisonchargers.com, that is just the domain for the Internet URL.
