Not convinced this is a iOS26 issue, but nevertheless.....

For the past week or so I've noticed that mail downloads very slowly - using the default Mail app on my iPhone.
It started doing it on my 15 Pro Max, but upgraded to the 17 Pro Max and still get the same.

So I enter the Mail app - I have it set to manually check for messages when I open the app rather then it always checking in the background.
It goes away and checks for mail, states' downloading XX messages' and just sits there for a while, not downloading the actual messages. At times I get tired of waiting so come back to it later, when the messages have downloaded. Sometimes it can be several minutes.

This happens irrespective of message size - so its not that the messages are large - could be short text only.

It happens only on cellular.
On wifi everything is fine - nice and quick.
Everything else - browsing the Internet, streaming video, etc all works perfectly fine via cellular. Its just mail being slow. So I;m ruling out cellular speed issues.....

Anyone seen anything like this before?

Who is your mail hosted with?

GMail.
All works fine on my computer - and fine on my iPhone when I'm using wifi - just seems to happen when using cellular.
I've tried a reboot of the iPhone, resetting my cellular connection data settings etc too.....

Similar to this:
Although mine works fine on wifi.
Have tried turning off the Siri Learning setting for Mail too - no difference.....
