Hi there

I have various e-mail accounts which I download email from using Mail which runs in Lion. I use pop3 access rather than IMAP because I like to store all my email locally and these go back some years.

Since installing Lion a few months ago I am finding that one account starts downloading emails at speeda of 4k to 20k and then within 30 seconds it drops to zero and eventually cuts out. If I have 200 emails I might hve to do the download process 4-6 times before they all download. Even a few emails, say 20, can cut out.

Out of the various email accounts I download from, 5 are BTInternet accounts, which Yahoo manage in behalf of BT. However it is only 1 of those 5 BT avcounts which is having the problem. It is an account which gets a lot of mailing list posts but that shouldn't be a problem as I have broadband and as I side, even 20 emails can be a problem. If it were every BT account I'd put the problem with Yahoo but it's only 1 out of 5 accounts.

Has anyone else had a similar problem? My ISP is O2. Could they be the cause of my issues? Although given it's occurring after I installed Lion, I'm think it must be a Mail issue? Had no problems with Snow Leopard and I was on the same ISP.

Kind regards
