The mail app still does not show the body of the email in dark mode. As a visually impaired user, this makes Apple Mail useless. Not sure why Apple, who is so into health, fitness, and accessibility, would not fix this. The technology is there as Outlook and other mail apps do this seamlessly. I guess I have to stick with Microsoft.

Dark mode was never an accessibility feature. Actually for many people it's much harder to read white text on a dark background.

Anyway, Mail can use dark colours for text emails (you can enable the options in Mail Settings -> View) but many emails uses html like websites, and they specify colours in html/css, Mail won't change those colours to some random color that might look good or bad in dark mode.

Thanks for your response. Outlook does change the html emails just like website extensions do. I am not saying to remove the Standard just to have a toggle for the visually impaired.

I suggest you to use the Outlook app instead. I'm visually impaired as well and I was tired of that non-sense. When macOS is in dark mode, the mail app is the only apple native app that don't respect this for mails.

The outlook app will show everything in dark mode, including e-mails. Plus, I found it a better app overall than the native apple one.

Thanks, hard to understand why users give Apple a pass on this. I also use Outlook. Wanted to use Apple Intelligence with Mail but no go. Hope Outlook will integrate with AI.
