I can no longer see any of my mail windows. The Mail->preferences file is greyed out. Any idea how I can restore my mail windows? I can see the data is still there in the V4 alias (V4 is an alias on my internal SSD to the files on a separate 2GB drive - this worked perfectly in 10.11). I am able to create a new user and the new user has working mail, but I want my user file from my 10.11 system restored if possible, with working mail.
I tried deleting the mail.plist file in library->containers->... but that did not help. A new mail.plist was created, but still no windows and mail preferences greyed out.
Any ideas?
