Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere in the forums. Searched and searched, but found nothing.
Lately, Mail has randomly been removing the original message from my replies and forwards. No changes in my settings (have always included them)...hits various accounts I have loaded in Mail (different sources, but mostly IMAP)...no real pattern. Most of the time, it works, then bam-willy nilly selection of which replies/forwards retain the original content.
Of course, it seems to prefer those most important.
This is unanswered in the Apple Support forums, with several folks reporting the same problem:

Any ideas? You guys are about ten times more reliable (and thousand times more responsive) than apple.com when it comes to hiccups.....
FYI: Running 10.5.8 on MacBook Pro (3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo)...Mail 3.6.
