Hi all

In previous iOS versions when using Gamil IMAP, you could very clearly toggle weather you wanted to Archive messages (leaving them in the Air-mail folder on server). I used to keep this turned off, otherwise its fills up like a trashcan with message, you no longer need

However, since upgrading to iOS7, I can not find this setting under Advanced of the account.

I have re-read the manual and even that's not very clear.... It never says "Air-mail" now, only "Archive", so i am wondering is this the same thing ? or did Apple get rid of the user disabling this option ?

I realize the thought of Gmail's usefulness, but unless you manually go in and delete messages that lands in Air-mail folder, you can have thousands in their dating back to when you first create dyour account..

I absolutely hate this. As I want control whats kept and whats not, thus the setting on Ipad. Plus, this actually makes me use iPad more just for that alone.

Solved...

Apparently, its called "Archive" still..

Apple just doesn't say it also delete messages from the Air-mail folder.

Thus, what thew me.....
