Mail V4.6 - Cannot send, can receive

Hello
I have Mail v4.6 and it will not send my messages. Receiving ok.
Have checked settings for my outgoing mail server (smtp) and the address string is correct but at the end of the line is displayed - (offline).

Have a second email account.That too reads ok and does not say it is offline.
Trying to send an email from this address but that darn spinning wheel is next to Sent and does not go away.

Any idea's?

Checked setting again and now the 'Off-Line' message has gone but still Mail will not send. I might add that i dont receive any error message.

Server settings for my btinternet.com account remain as they have always been so any idea's out there?
