I sort of remember when I used version 1 of mail that when I sent a big file the sent folder would change to 'sending' and I could see the file with it's spinning wheel.

BUT

When I use Mail 2 and send a big file it looks like it completely disappears. There is no 'sending box' and in fact I can't even find the file. It goes into a limbo. It's only after that it eventually gets sent when I hear the mail sent sound that it appears in the "sent" folder.

Is this normal or this there something funny (peculiar) going on?

Oh OK that's disappointing but good to know. I had to send some biggish files via email (about 9 Mb) and my email server gets a bit frantic when the files near 10 Mb. Sometimes they come back undeliverable after a couple of days.

I was panicking for a while not knowing if they were sent or went into the undeliverable slot or what.

This must surely rate as the most moronic *new feature* ever put into any email client anywhere. What the hell were they smoking when they came up with this bright idea.

Thanks Nermal,

I didn't know about the viewer that helps a lot. Funnily enough I'm just testing it out now and I'm sending the same big file I was trying to send earlier to day to my gmail account and this time the 'sent' folder has turned into a 'sending' folder as it used to do...
