Does anyone know why my mail will not setup for yahoo mail. It works on the Iphone to get mail from yahoo but not on my new Imac. When I run the setup it is asking that yahoo pop needs a few. What is this?

Sorry but this is my first Mac computer:confused:

To be able to retrieve your yahoo mail through another client, yahoo makes you pay for their "pro" version. Without it, you have to actually log into your account. It sucks, I know :(

Wow, that's lame. So even if you know the server addresses, they have some kind of authentication system in place that checks for it?

You got me. All I know is that my gmail can't pull mail from my yahoo account :mad:

hmm. GMail is another web client, idk anything about its setup. I think what the user is trying to do, is pull in mail through a mail-client, like Mac-Mail, Entourage, etc. For these, all you need is the correct server addresses & ports.

@OP:
Are you using the same POP3/SMTP addresses that you setup on your IPhone?

I will check tonight when I get home, but I believe I am using the same POP/SMTP as the Iphone.
