Mail Window Behind a Message

I know in iOS, to see the email behind the message being composed in mail, you can drag the window down dragging down on the title bar. I thought this same functionality was in the Yosemite version of the Mail app (I thought I saw in during the Keynote). Does anyone know how to do that when the Mail app is in full screen?
