This I don't understand:
My son has sent me and my wife an email with a small picture (.jpg) attachment from his work MS Outlook account. I have received the attachment as a Winmail.dat file - annoying but not uncommon according to the internet forums. It's happened a few times.
Here's mystery:
My wife and I have mail accounts running on the same MacBook Air and MacMini - both machines on the same version of Mavericks. We both use iCloud mail (@me.com) and we both have an iPhone 5 running the same iOS version. Viewing the email in every possible situation (MacOSX, iOS and internet), I get a winmail.dat file and she gets the viewable .jpg.
My logic says that there must be a MAC mail setting somewhere in my account that is influencing the way the incoming email attachment is processed and needs changing. But where is it?
Any ideas?
